Beth Rauch is a Certified
Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT), and the Owner of Teacher's Pet Training
Academy, LLC. Beth has a Master's Degree in Veterinary Science
and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison in Psychology and Zoology, with coursework
directed towards animal behavior. Beth has years of experience with
all types of animals from a variety of environments including: large
and small animal veterinary clinics and hospitals, animal
behavior and medical research laboratories, dog boarding, grooming,
and daycare facilities. She has been training dogs since she was
young and worked as a Lead Dog Obedience Instructor at a local
training company prior to starting Teacher’s Pet Training Academy, LLC
in 2001.
Along with training
group obedience classes, Beth helps owners better manage their pets in
private lessons and conducts seminars on common pet issues.
In addition to her school education, Beth attends obedience seminars
and is a professional member and the Wisconsin New Member Greeter of
The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). As a member of the APDT,
she is committed to becoming a better trainer through education and
incorporates only dog friendly training methods in Teacher’s
Pet classes. Beth is also a member of a number of online animal
behavior forums, and continually updates her library of animal
behavior books.
Beth and her husband,
Jeff are the proud parents of a beautiful new Baby Girl named Brooke
Elizabeth and a middle-aged Border Collie named
Kelsey. Together, they remain active in obedience and agility
classes. Kelsey gets to meet each new client as Beth's 'demo-dog' at
the first night orientation session for Puppy School and Beginner
Doggy School classes.
