Sylvia has always loved animals. A native of Arizona, Sylvia moved to Madison to study Veterinary Medicine and Journalism at the University of Wisconsin. However, as life's plans often do, these were changed during her studies and she graduated with degrees in International Relations and Portuguese instead. While at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she indulged her love for animals by taking classes on animal behavior. And, as local opportunities presented themselves, she attended seminars on dog behavior and training. Sylvia currently resides with 3 cats and her dog, Alice, whom she takes through classes and overcomes the challenges she has presented. Her goal as a dog trainer is to help people live happy comfortable lives with their animal companions.
